I live in Homer, Alaska surrounded by mountains and glaciers and Kachemak Bay, where I watch our tenant eagles raise their young in a nest on our lot, and the occasional moose, bear, and coyote wander through. My husband watches too, and we are frequently visted by our adult children who live across the face of America from Florida to California and up to Alaska.

 

I began writing in grade school in Africa, where I grew up in Tanganyika (now Tanzania) and in boarding school in Kenya. So much of my writing is about Africa, though my most recent research is into the Reformation era in France.

 

Besides writing and my long-time occupation as a Realtor, I enjoy needlework and puzzles of various kinds.
